We built the Iron Pitch 1v1 Factory™ to teach every player how to create space and beat defenders in the open field and and in tight situations. Regardless of your position, or where you find yourself on the pitch, your ability to beat defenders and break pressure is essential to your long-term success as a player.

 

How do we train speed?

In the simplest terms, speed comes from hip flexion (upward motion) and hip extension (downward motion). To get faster, an athlete must produce more force in both directions. Our advanced speed program trains the muscles that produce this force while emphasizing the importance of proper mechanics and consistent exposures.

When should kids start strength training?

Contrary to popular myth, a carefully designed strength program can start at any age. For our younger athletes, we emphasize light resistance and proper technique, building a foundation of strength for the future.

Why do we care so much about hamstrings?

Apart from the obvious relationship to speed and explosiveness, studies show that youth soccer players exhibit strength imbalance of the hamstrings to quadriceps which limits overall performance and increases risk of injury. Good news is that targeted strength training can correct the imbalance.

Get motivated with player metrics.

We all know that kids play differently when they are keeping score. Based on this simple fact, we track the key performance metrics that keep our players training harder and coming back for more. Player metrics are recorded on individual player cards and posted in the gym.​

What is the Technical Box™?

The Iron Pitch Technical Box™ is where our members master pull skills and body feints for evading pressure and creating space. What does our "everyday" training session look like?

We conduct a variety of indoor training sessions, however our "everyday" training session consists of 6 stations lasting a total of 75 minutes. Every session starts with a proper warmup and includes expert instruction in speed, strength, and technical mastery.

Training add-ons are available every weekday from 11am-12pm all summer long. Add-ons are $19 for full-time members and $29 for guests. Payment will be accepted at the time of training.

Let us know when you are coming in for your first high-energy training session. After your first training, you can drop in any time during regular training hours. There is no need to schedule or plan ahead!
